Hrharrell"The YURI sub is ported which means you'll get louder bass at the expense of some frequency response. Ported subs are inherently less "tight" sounding compared to sealed subs since there's no vacuum inside the cabinet pulling the driver back in. Because of this I would choose a ported sub for home theatre use or gaming where you'd want more tactile bass. EDM and Rap sound great with ported subs since they're bass driven genres. If I am listening to music with recorded instruments I prefer the sealed sub8 or sub6 which has a more natural roll-off at low frequencies and handles the quick musical transients better.
