Just received mine and here are my first thoughts: Pros: - Feels well built; - Decent cable; - Good packaging for this price point; - Detailed sound; - Decent bass extension; - Very clear highs.
Cons: - I hear a lot of sibilance; - The IEMs' metal casing has sharp edges that hurt when they touch the skin of my ears; - Ackward shape, they look like they're made to sit with an upward angle (cable up at about 45 degrees) to fit the shape of an human ear, but they always end up cable down due to the weight of the cable. I feel like they need a hook shaped cable so you can wrap it around your ear. For now I just wrap the stock cable around my ears, but it doesn't hold very well.
Bottom line: I really want to like them, but I hope they lose some of their sibilance. I'm hesitant to buy a cable that wraps around the ear as I'm not sure if I will keep them

Are these worth it or should I wait for the LZ A4s to drop again?

I would be interested in hearing opinions on the differences and similarities between these and the 1More Triple Drivers. Thanks!

Triple drivers and these are on par. It up to you if you want to spend more for detachable cable and slightly better build quality. Also the packaging that Triple driver comes in is better. While these do provide more tips, Triple driver provides better carrying case and airplane adapter, its not that triple driver dont give you wide list of tips for your isolation.

Just got mine, listen to quite a few different types of tracks. Soundstage is indeed good. Bass is tight but not overbaring. A bit of emphasis on the midrange and nice clear highs. For the price, it's worth every penny.

Shure se215 are much, much more polite sounding. LZ A3s will sound more dynamic in comparison.

Shure will compare more bass heavy than LZ. Shure se215 no slouch by any mean but by comparison this will sound better, more clear. I own LZ a4 model and those are phenomenal the sound stage is wider LZ A3 shouldn't be that far off. The sound signature is similar.

Soundstage is good, highs are clear, and midrange is well done. Bass is just right. Treble can be a bit too bright for some, especially if you're like me and very sensitive to hearing sibilance. For the money it's a pair of good sounding earphones but I would advise to skip this one and wait for the next drop of LZ A4.

Bought this with the last drop in November ... pretty great sound, recessed mids, not so heavy bass and a little too flat response for my liking (multi instrument songs can be overwhelmed and unfocused) but otherwise great representation, soundstage and clarity - one of the best entry level multi-driver IEMs out there! Headphones actually shine the most when you listen to them at high volume and using lower fidelity sources (320 or even 240 kbps mp3 works better than FLAC in a lot of cases because of better focus in multi-instrumental songs). Design is unique but I have a pretty comfort fit with over-the-ear wearing style, though I get little uncomfortable when listening to it for more than 3 hours at the time. They are a little bit on a heavy side and it takes a long time to find the perfect ear tips (I spend the whole day until I settled for the mid size of the biggest width silicon tips). Now the bad thing - cables!!! After 3 months of careful handling (using them at home/office exclusively and caring them around in the protective case), my headphones started to loose the sound in one cable (and this are the improved MMCX cables which are different in the last year or two) and now it takes me 1-2 minutes to find the position where I can hear the sound completely and if you move the head too much it cuts out. I have contacted manufacturer through Massdrop support and I haven't heard a reply in more than a month! Verdict: great overall IEMs with lousy support
UPDATE: Received good news from vendor, they are replacing my headphones, so hopefully this time cables will last longer. Better opinion about the support :)

My LZ A3S IEMs arrived today. Limited sound stage, adequate base, very crisp and clear mids, and the high end is not overstated. They are a little heavy for IEMs, but are not uncomfortable. I immediately switched out the tips for comply foam tips, which made a huge difference on both sound and comfort; I definitely recommend them to anyone who picked up a set this drop.

I am using comply's comfort series, specifically ts-600 tips.

I got these last time around and truthfully wouldnt recommend them. The sound is decent but they're heavy and the nozzles are massive. They're painful to wear for extended periods.

So, How do these compare to A4 on customizability For the sound, I'm expecting similar since same drivers Overall, what are the differences in them?

I'd imagine there is NO customizability like the A4. This A3S does not have a filter system, just colorful tips for fit.
