$800USD would be $1081AUD according to paypal currency conversion rate, which means you gotta pay TAX for those stuff which including application fee + GST, it will cost additional 200-300AUD, so no deal!

Jas260I plan to ship this to a relative in WA. What‘s the percentage tax for this amount? And how do you pay the gst? I read you need to apply for a import declaration or something.

BuckbrickGST is always the same amount - 10%. There is usually a processing fee as well. I believe the processing fee is capped at $50. So for this purchase, $800 US converts to around $1046 Aud. Adding GST is 1046 x 1.1 = $1150. Add up to $50 in processing fees = $1200.
Usually what hat happens is when the items land in Australia, customs will send you the bill. Items will be held in customs until you settle the bill and have the item released.

NigzHi. Thanks for the reply and info! This may prove to be a hard decision. I swore my next headphone would be a flagship planar, an end game set for me. But these have thrown a spanner in the works.

BuckbrickNo man, expecting more than $300, I cant remember exact number, but application fee is definitely, cant remeber its 80 or 180, normally Au custom doesnt like declare package by ourself. If you missed anything, you will have to re-declare it which means you have to pay the fee again, its much quicker if you are using third party professional company, but that means more fees. So you will looking at 1300 approx. which mean you can bargain this price easily from addicted 2 audio.
