Sounds good, braided cable is a nice touch. However, within a couple of months the left IEM stopped working completely. At first I thought it was because I switched cables but it no longer works with either cable and there is no way to buy just one IEM replacement. If you care about durability, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
I was using the EDC1s as my daily drivers for a while. Once my cable died I picked up a pair of EDC3s for home, so that when the next cable would fall apart I'd have a spare.
The EDC3s are excellent, I like them more than my Sennheiser Momentum TW2s. They are a bit more power thirsty than the EDC1s, but they're still fine driven from a laptop, and more than make up for it in sound stage. They're much crisper than the EDC1s and just great overall.
My one gripe is the cable connection... They take a standard 0.78mm perfectly fine, but the default cables are shaped specifically for Nuforce, and fall apart pretty quickly... Definitely a fail, but other than that, they're great.
I was happy with these. Sound quality was good, nothing to complain about not the best I've had though. Lifetime was about a year of daily abuse at work which i was stoked on and prompted me to buy a 2nd pair when the first eventually died.
I’m somewhat torn to give these IEMs a 4 star or 5. I’ll try and explain why, first these are great in that they come With plenty tips and 2 types of cables. The first are twisted cable with no mic while the second seems a bit flimsy with a mic. I can’t speak on the quality of the mic since I have not tested it but in terms of the sound quality - they are great. The only downside at least for my ears are that they are uncomfortable for more than 2 hours. The main cable also twists around the earlobe but after basic use it starts to lose its shape. Overall they are recommended for only short spurts of listening.
