I have an earlier revision of these! These are by far the tankyest headphones i have ever laid my hands on. They're ENTIRELY made of solid machined pieces of metal and genuine leather that has held up incredibly well for the years ive had them. Ive dropped them on all kinds of surfaces a huge number of time and they chug along like nothing happened. Pads are magnetic too, which is a huge plus for replacability.
My only gripe is the power/pair slider (which is also made of metal) broke a little and wont turn the headphones off in the off position, but that has never really been a problem since the battery holds for more than two days just fine.

Two things. I got in on a sale on M&D’s site around 9/22/22. The on sale cost was $299.00. it was a gift I gave to a relative. I owned an earlier model, and now own the MW75. I can attest M&D makes some great headphones!
I also note it is described here as a “flagship” headphone. Just any FYI, the new flagship is the MW75. The company does make some great headphones!

It's nice that a beryllium driver is used, but in 2022 at this price, using Bluetooth 4.2 is not good enough.

I mean… you’re buying a headphone that was designed before bt5x and m&d don’t update an existing product when they are working on a replacement (which is now released)

Ny3Stalk3rYeah, I totally get that. As much as I like these, personal preferences are what they are. I’m onboard with BT audio but I feel like this offering is lacking a necessary bit of tech.

I received a response from Master & Dynamic as a reply to my review answering my previously unanswered questions. I have also emailed them with a support question and they responded quickly and were helpful. As such, I have removed my comments regarding a negative customer support experience and have have updated my review accordingly.
I am approaching these headphones as someone who is not an audiophile, is perfectly fine with using Bluetooth for convenience in lieu of cables, and primarily listens to Apple Music, AAC, and MP3 compressed audio files.

Sound is Great but build quality is very questionable. It’s not going to break but will fall apart on you. Wish it was closer to half the price as it is being discontinued I believe

MacCaliIf it fell apart on you.. that’s either a rare defect or (sorry not sorry) a you problem… I’ve had mw40 and 65 each since they were released and they are still as solid as the day I bought them..
