I think there may be quality issues for those who had a horrible experience. These amazed me. I did purchase a balanced XLR cable and that made a big difference! The bass coming out of these cans were stunning. They NEVER broke or clipped with the deepest bass test. The midrange is crystal clear and the subtle rolloff in the highs made them much more enjoyable. Perhaps these are lifestyle cans with solid bass and mids? All I know is they hold their ground vs my TH900mk2's and Aeon Flows when it comes to bass and overall presence. My experience only.

RichterDiCheck out Periapt cables. I have them make me cables for all my headphones. They have a pair in stock they use to test the cables after they make them.
