Based in the picturesque Italian town of Bassano del Grappa, Montegrappa has been making beautiful, functional pens since 1912—pens that inspire the writer to write. Among them is the Ducale Murano. Named for the Palazzo Ducale, a famous Gothic landmark in Venice, it also pays tribute to Murano, a string of islands known for their glassmaking. The pen’s generous size, architectural elements, and pearlescent sea-like colors harken back to its namesakes. The resin body is well balanced, making it a pleasure to write with, and complemented by palladium trim. To make the pen easier to tuck into your pocket, the clip is fashioned with a rolling ball.
