fuckin bright
temporary blindness will ensue if you catch the 10000 lumens point blank. very bright more of a flood light than a thrower. needs one more adjustable lumens setting so you can run 1000 or 2000 lumens with the click of a button while still having the 3 lower setting

It was great for a while, now won't charge
It was a great little flashlight for a while, and now it simply won't charge, it shows it charging, then indicates the battery is full. But once you unplug the charger the battery shows empty and the flashlight will not work, and of course you can not replace the battery. It probably had two dozen charge cycles before it died. It's not user error, iv'e got about 20 Nitecore flashlights. Will never get an inbuilt battery version again though

Very Good!
Beam focus is very good but trades off wider field which it has, in place of stronger, narrower beam. I would buy it again.

DOA :(
Not impressed with Nitecore quality control here. Buttons and LCD display work and function as expected, however the device will not produce light at any setting. I also have a TM26 that’s never had problems and an EC4 that I had to get replaced by Massdrop because it died after a month of sitting on a shelf. I have reached out to Massdrop support to see about fixing the problem, hoping they’ll replace it with a working unit rather than refunding me. Update: Drop told me to talk to Nitecore about it. Disappointed, in the past they’ve helped me out and went above and beyond - I guess with the rebrand those days are over.

The box I received had obviously been previously opened. I should have, but did not think to take a picture of such. While the light works well and I like it overall, the package I received was incomplete and did not include either the charging cable or the lanyard. After spending $25 on a USB -> USB-C cable, (probably could have found something cheaper, but I needed one anyway) I find that it charges just fine. Point of order, the 87W power adapter for my MacBook Pro does not charge the light, though it works with a Nexus phone. It seems that the light itself cannot negotiate a power mode it likes with this type of supply. An Apple 18W adapter (iPad variant) and cable from Fred Meyer work fine. The light itself works as advertised. I like it very much and intend to make good use of it. When I contacted Massdrop about the issue, however, I was rather disappointed in the answer. I was offered a $25 credit with their store. While this covered the cost of the cable, it does not make up for the trouble of finding one or that the item itself had been opened and contents removed then sold as new. I understand there are laws against this. I've used Massdrop to purchase other items and have generally been pleased with the result. This, however, ruins trust with an online discount retailer. I've cancelled my newsletter subscription and intend to not use this service again. I have expressed these feelings to Massdrop support directly with no useful offer of remedy other than the $25 credit or returning the item. What amuses me is that I technically can't return it incomplete. I told them I was going to leave this review and will now walk away.

Have to agree abut return policies and customer support. My experience is that customer support does get back to you, but the reality is the deck is stacked against you. All they really care about is not losing any of their money even when it’s their fault. Buyer beware there is an 25% restocking fee... my guess is they still make money either way which in itself tells you something about the company. I have a ongoing return issue where the add was clearly misleading and then changed after my inquiry

After being idle in Lockmode 2 for even just a few minutes, the only way to unlock the flashlight is to plug it into IT’S OWN USB C cable (using the one from my iPad doesn’t work) wait a few minutes, unplug it, and 50% of the time it will allow me then to unlock it. This is totally unusable. Who is going to carry around his cable and charger, wait five minutes, hope and pray... just to make a flashlight work?!

I despise Nitecore's useless customer service in Singapore and the USA, but they sure make incredible flashlights.

What would that feature be in a Nitecore Tini, Cap?

It’s been 34 weeks since I was seeking a decent flashlight. Read my research from the time. I’ve resigned myself to having a TM06 for night missions, but typically just resort to the “flash” in my phone, since it’s the one device besides a Kershaw and Nanaks Lip Smoothee that I don’t leave home without.
