The IEM is nice sounding and I have enjoyed quite a few hours with these in my ears. I wish the cable was better. It did not fit me very well. By changing the cable for on that is better suited to me ears, I enjoyed the IEMs even more.
I really wanted to like these headphones. The tech behind the design of these IEMs is really cool and I've read a lot of interesting things online. But when I gave them a listen and kept them in my bag for when I'm on the go, they just never impressed. I think this is because they're really tuned for mids. However, I listen to plenty of vocal tracks, especially where they're right there at the microphone. Even with vocal tracks, there's no soundstage, no breadth and even no depth, even in the mids where they're allegedly tuned. I do really think the design is fundamentally flawed. I cannot recommend these IEMs, especially when there are simpler designs for a little less that are far more exciting. There's tuning that makes every IEM unique, and then there's over-tuning. This is the ladder case.
My 2nd Nuforce iems (had the edc3 before I lost 1 side) and was expecting lots. As per comments, paint starts coming off in a month or two.
Bass is, in typical nuforce fashion, thin and I kept wishing for more.
Was still my daily for a few months but the stock cable joint is disintegrating at an alarming rate, so I stopped using it and changed over to my uncomfortable isine20 as daily drivers instead.
Not too bad,
Different types of sound. I do not like it. But worth its money.
Has to say,
1) Sense of hearing is worse than DT990 Pro 250ohm (same price) driven by PC without amp. Maybe it is not fair to compare it with a large dynamic headphone as usages can be very different.
2) Details are less than KZ AS10, only from my perspective, but sound more neutral.
3) QUALITY IS SHIT! FALLING PAINT!!!
The earphones started to have life of their own, volume changeing without touching the volume bar, making it real hazared to my ears to use it probably it because of a cable defact- occurring just after mild use for several months also the paint started to peel off from the earphons
The sound quality was OK, strong sides where very good mid, and gogoogogood isolation and secured fit for my earcanal, almost custom made, non the less I expected more from 500$ retail earphons.
