PreSonus Atom & Atom SQ Controllers

The PreSonus ATOM and ATOM SQ are pad-based MIDI controllers that give you fingertip control of your music in ultra-compact packages. The base-level ATOM features 16, standard-sized touch pads that give you precise velocity and pressure sensitivity. This allows for nuanced control over intricate drum beats and synth parts. The pads are set apart visually with customizable RGB backlights for aesthetic appeal and easier reference on or off stage. Additionally, there are 20 buttons and four boundless rotary knobs that can be assigned to any parameter for functionality that’s tailored to your setup. 

The ATOM SQ builds on the ATOM’s functionality by providing more input options. The RGB pads are doubled to 32 for twice the range, there are 16 assignable buttons and eight endless rotary knobs, plus the chassis includes a bright LED reference screen and transport controls. The biggest control difference, though, is the multi-function touch strip that can be assigned to pitch bends, timeline scrubbing, or whatever else you need to control. Both the ATOM and the ATOM SQ work seamlessly with PreSonus’s Studio One Artist (bundled with each unit), Ableton Live, and virtually every common DAW on the market. Both are bus-powered and portable—making them great additions to a desktop rig or a touring setup.
