So, first off, I didn't buy this through Amazon. But since I buy so much stuff from Amazon thought I'd put my review on here. This is soooo much fun! This is my 1st drone and I know it's not "professional ", I don't care, it's awesome! I'm a 64 year old star wars nerd, saw the original in '77. Now about the drone. The packaging alone is worth the price of admission. 6 star wars songs can play through speaker or earphones from the hand held remote. Lighted display case with music, battle mode, hand painted, 2 batteries, extra props, screws, and other accessories, training mode and 3 additional speeds you can fly at, auto take off and auto land. Fantastic. So, just started using today and didn't take to park so I could have 100' of grass around me, went into front yard. Learning to fly. Rashes into trees 4 times, house twice and roof once. Total damage, lost 1 propeller. Much sturdier than I thought. By the way you can't adjust the music until you sync the drone with the remote. Buy it, you'll like it!

Great value for the price. My sons and I had a blast flying them the past few weekends. The controller can play the Star Wars sound track when not flying drones, and can be used with a Bluetooth headset if it is bothering others around you. Pretty good for $35 - free Star Wars music. It also plays Star Wars sounds while flying, an added bonus for the flying experience. The drone is a average flyer - not very nimble, never quite straight, and easily moved by the wind. Rotors need regular rebalancing. We also have a Parrot Drone, which flies much better and is much more responsive (and also more expensive). For a weekend fun flyer for kids - it can't be beat for $35. If you're looking for something more of a "hobbyist" level drone you might want to look elsewhere.

The packaging is cool. The theme and model are awesome! It flies so awesome like. Just a few warnings and cautions. The motors will get hot and burn out on you. I am not the only one that seems to have had this problem. There does not seem to be any warning signs or alerts for the issue. DO NOT try to launch this from your hand! I think that is what i did wrong. I got my thumb caught in the blade. It did not hurt me, but the toy has no way of telling this and kept trying to adjust. Result, burned engine. Also, learn the "auto kill" method to the motors on your model. If you run into a tree or hung up. USE IT! As fast as you realize. It will not turn off. It will keep trying to adjust itself, and you will burn a motor. Other than that, these drones are awesome! I love playing with mine. They can be tough to pilot, but once you get the hang of it, it is lots of fun.

Ordered X-wing and Tie fighter on 12/11/2018, expected ship date originally showed 12/27/2018, actually delivered and received on 1/10/2019. These will be a gift to my nephew and his dad so I can't tell how they perform yet. This review isn't on the Propel product but rather on Massdrop experience: Long wait time with no updates, until the customer sends inquiry to the support, and even more extended wait time than foretold after that is 2/5 stars at best. Luckily I received exactly the two models that I ordered, but I already have seen how Massdrop deals with "the wrong item shipped" and I am appalled. Another customer received a different model, and has been told there's nothing they can do about it. Had it happened to me, this would not suffice and would make me cancel the whole thing and ask for a full refund right away. This could've happened to anyone including me is very misfortunate and the fact that support or customer care is practically none existent in such scenario will reflect extremely negative towards Massdrop: 0/5 stars. The fact is I could've got the same price deal with no sales tax from B&H Photos had I acted a little earlier or a bit later. I stuck with Massdrop this time but after experiencing such a delay and hearing of a such horror story of how Massdrop handles its mistake will definitely linger in my mind. I would not recommend Massdrop at this point at all, and I would think twice about using it in the future for myself. It would have to be an extremely good deal for me to take a chance in the future.
