I'm doing something different and this sound bar is giving me a problem. Me wife wants full house music. I have a lot of echo shows, which can be grouped to play all at once. Two are echo 10s, which are fine for what I need. Two are echo 5's, which are not up to what i need. I have two sound bars. One is perfect. I link it with bluetooth.
This sound bar will let me directly using a 3.5mm to RCA cable. However it will turn off after a short time. This hurts in that I do not have alexa as well as needing to restart the sound bar when playing music.
How can I keep this sound bar from shutting off or going into standby? It is doing one or the other. I have not tried it but will using bluetooth force it to stay on.
The echo show have a different way to pair. I did not know it when I set that up. I like having wired.
I think I have it. You can turn off the standby by waiting for it to go into standby mode. Then press and hold the off button until the amber light blinks. I first tried it in wired mode and no go. I'm now waiting for it to go into standby mode again. The instruction only showed this in BT so I was not surprised when it failed in wired mode.
cheek_angNo, it's just a filtered sub only signal being output through its sub out. It requires an active/ powered sub.
Probably has decent bass stock from an over all pov. It has 2 4"dedicated woofers vs 2" mids.
JakobThanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I bought it anyways. Been 2 weeks and it hasn’t even been shipped. Well if I’m not satisfied I can always add a powered sub.
Two 50mm midrange drivers? This seems highly optimistic for any sort of meaningful bass.
I have a similar form factor sound base (Cambridge Audio), and it has two 6.5" drivers. Admittedly it cost a lot more than $125, but there's simply no way that $599 is a plausible realistic price for something with these specs.
NotABotIt has 2 4" woofers for bass. Those are mids at 2".
It's a 3 way, 6 speaker set up.
2 1" tweets
2 2"mids
2 4" woofers
All driven by independent amps.
I ordered one.
I am not expecting a home theatre but it's surprising the sound that can be had from small speakers today and PSB don't make garbage. For the money, I am sure I'll be happy for a small studio apartment.
Wow, this thing was overpriced out of the gate! The problem is that today you can get great soundbars that include a sub for $150-$200. Not sure where you can make use of something like this unless it's a small bedroom.
