milchThat is there to cut down on the shit-tonne (that's a metric system thing) of bogus lawsuits flooding the courts: "You can't say you weren't warned."

I had this exact bag years ago, using it frequently as a carry-on. The bags look great but unfortunately the interior fabric separating the pockets on either end is pretty flimsy. After about a year of heavy use, it tore through on both sides. My recommendation: if you pick one of these up, make sure you don't overpack it, and don't keep anything heavy/sharp/weird shaped in the outside pockets where it might be pushed into that flimsy fabric and tear it.

Spiffy looking, but I'm going to guess it's not water repellent.

Good idea! An old Scandinavian trick: I had a pair of 'greenland jeans' I rubbed beeswax into on some pretty brutal wet/cold treks and it kept me warmer and drier than others' fancy Gore-Tex pants. The technique uses beeswax candles but a hot hair-dryer and a bar of wax is less likely to burn your new Rothco bag.

California is so messed up that they found a way to ruin bags too. Is there anything they won't ban or put a warning label on?

crashtestAside from evidently triggering you on general principle, how does this ruin the bag?

processed leather is.... naturally tanned leather isnt. by the time most companies get done processing their " leather" it really isnt leather anymore.

that is California regulations they put that on just about every frigging product that gets imported into California. if you lose sleep over that statement then you have more problems than developing cancer from a duffle bag.

Would stay away - checked the comments on Amazon - and have serious doubts about sturdiness. Mind you - no photos of the inside...

The stitching was all messed up on the one I got. I really like the bag but they should quality check this stuff so that handles and such don't go out looking like someone's sewing machine just ran away without any thread. I have the impressions that a machine went over it and compressed it but no thread in a couple places on the bag. The shoulder strap pad is gone right off the bat. Really odd because the dopp kit drop that matched is legit as are the rothco jackets I have bought over the years. This is not the bag you are looking for.

ValgalHahaha...! You thought you'd never need to use basic geometry or math after highschool, right? Europeans: just fill it with water and measure how many litres it takes...! Americans: same procedure but use US gallons... Britons: same but use Imperial gallons. Denizens of The Web: google it. I think that covers (and insults) just about everyone so job well done: it's Miller Time! ;)
