Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Samson C01U Pro USB Condenser Microphone and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 7/29.
Rest assured that we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 7/28.

Can someone give me a comparison between this and the CAD GXL2600 that's also currently being dropped? Thanks

While built with the same end user in mind, the CAD GXL2600 is a more professional sounding mic. It is based upon their 2200 series microphones, has a gold sputtered diaphragm, larger cardioid and a superior capsule. That is not to say the C01U is not a good mic, it most certainly is. However, the CAD GXL2600 will give you in my opinion based upon its specs and upgraded design, far clearer and accurate voice recording.
Also, the CAD mic is designed to be plug and play with whichever computer, Mac or PC, and whichever software you are using. So we shall see in the end after people receive theirs and let us know.

I'm sorry to say that I would NOT recommend this particular microphone (C01U Pro). Both the XLR and non-Pro USB versions prior to this had many problems. If you are in any way serious about voiceover or recording, save up for something else - don't just jump at the attractive price.

Where is the software?? i just got my item today. Im suprise there was no cd or any web address in the manual. Just microphone with the accesories, waranty card and manual.. THAT ALL. Where is the software?

We are aware some units shipped from the vendor without the software and are rectifying the issue at present. We have received addition copies of the software from Samson and are sending out the discs to those who unfortunately did not receive it in their package. This was a simple oversight on their part when packing the boxes and was not intentional. Please contact support and they will get your information and ensure you receive the software as soon as possible.

A little disappointed - the software that is sold with this product is only for PC - no mac compatibility........this is a great shame - next time I make a purchase - I'm going to have to do my homework where software is concerned
