If you like the ie80s you might want to consider w30, earsonics sm3v2 and a pair of tf10s if you happen to like the kind of sound the ie80s sit in the price range. And the ie80s compete quite within the sub 300 dollar category but would often suffer from scratching of the metal faceplates and a brittle stock cable. Of course the ie80s have the least artificially sounding soundstage that's both convincing and smooth in the mids.
