tarhanaThere are users impressions and reviews in the Head-Fi thread. Digital sound is a very personal thing when you go below thousands of a percentage point in THD and less than 100dB SNR with almost unmeasuarble jitter. I can call an example of vacuum tube based audio that may sound incredibly good and will measure much worse than its semiconductor/microchip based counterparts.
I listen to Shozy Alien (the original "Black" version) as my main DAP. The Alien is a very simple device without any OS, menu or advanced features. Just a few buttons. I will bet its sound against any DAP under $400.
The $189.99 on Amazon was only for the gray model, no other color available. The quantity was super limited so it was sold out right away. All other sellers are selling for about the same price. However, buying from here is at least safer than anywhere else, since Amazon doesn't sell it directly and all other sellers are shipping from China.
I don't get it. Isn't the concept and business model here to organize large groups buys to save money? If I wanted to pay more I could buy for the same EXACT price on Aliexpress. $239

I agree with everyone else's statements, When I see something here of interest, I quickly check Amazon and eBay to see if the price is anything special. Unfortunately more often that not, it's not a good price. Anyone have any experience with this DAP? I have a Pono, the iBasso DX90 and the Astell Jr.
