Never heard of these- seems to be a boutique manufacturer out of Portland. Every review I found said that these were incredibly solid and worked well, complaining only about the price and the weight. (with the aluminum buckles and the fabric spec, I believe them) Unfortunately it's actually pretty difficult to find a quality backpack like this for under $150 these days it seems. I see the Transit selling for $264- and at that price it's "That better be a *damn* good backpack that lasts me 10+years" and I'd be hesitant to buy one without handling one - but at this price I'm pretty confident it will be a good value sight unseen.

scosol I don't have one... But the locals here in Portland, OR swear by them. I see them everywhere downtown. The look really nice and solid from what I've experienced at the River City Bicycles shop.

Watched the video; made me want to move to Seattle, buy a bike, and rent a smallish one-bedroom for $2,900/month. --kidding, it didn't really...

RayFThe video is Portland. Similar, but more hippies, more Antifa, lamer suburbs.

HexCowboyI got the Utility pack at $119.00 before shipping, a real steal. If you look at the product description below, the Transit pack will be another $35.00 making it $154.00 before shipping, making it cheaper $100.00+ getting it official or other stores right now.

I really like the idea of a waterproof backpack, but even the Utility looks very large for my uses. Do these collapse down a good bit when not full of stuff?

HexCowboyThe Utility is 3.4 lbs, and the weight is worth it to me, with the weather I too often have to deal with.

Anyone have the Transit bag? I'm wondering if I can fit a change of clothes plus toiletries in it along w/ my laptop/etc for bike commuting? Thanks!

swischezePerhaps I'm a bit late on the reply, but the Transit is an absolute unit of a bag, and will easily fit more than that (just in case anyone else has similar questions).

Read great reviews on these 2 backpacks from Showers Pass and decided to order the Utility bag. Including shipping to my country, it costs USD 75.00 cheaper than buying direct.
