I love the fit on these iems. The sound signature is up to taste. For my liking the mods are nice not muddied by the low end, and highs are present and dont hiss .
I'm not sure these are even close to the best IEMs under 200, since it is such a competitive market, but for what these are, they have a easy to listen sound, with a nice warm signature. Someone said these have a vinyl-like sound, and I would tend to agree. They aren't technically amazing, but they are nice to listen to for long periods.
Great set if you like a warmer and richer sound. Not the most analytical set i own, however, if i just wanna lay back and listen, this IEM can do wonders.
Bass: Great texture. The subbass extension is terrific.
Mids: Good timbre. Solid slap from the midbass with good clarity until the treble kicks in.
Treble: Recessed. If you're a treble head, this set is a no-go. Perfect for longer listening sessions though.
Staging is average. Definitely an "in your head experience". Imaging is quite good.
All in all a good set for longer listening sessions, and if you're into a warmer sound.
On it's own, very nice competent set.
It's just that I own Blon 03, Tin T3&T4, Shoure Tape, Thieaudio L3 and it's little brother Form 1.1. So it does not win in overall sound quality that I prefer (L3) nor best price to performance ratio (Blon) . Still love the look and feel and I can listen to it all day long. Excellent fit and sound comfort.
LoquahI sold mine due to the bright high end. I bought mine from Linsoul on sale, and may have bought a bad set. Mine sounds overly bright compared to my FH-3s and my KBear Believes. Seems like it’s missing mid bass and mid vocals. I even tried different eartips. Most reviewers said these don’t have good highs, but mine were too bright and sibilant. Don’t know if you had any thoughts on these. I did like the clear sound, just way to bright for me.
I really dont know what the other reviews here are about, I think these are fantastic.
comfort: 10/10
build: 9/10
Detail and Clarity: 9/10
Tonality: 8/10
Isolation: 7/10
carrying case: 10/10
I compared these against the Blon03, Shuoer Tape and Audeze isine20. The Blon has definitely a better price/performance ratio than the shozy 1.4, the isine20 has overall better detail and soundstage because it is open back and the tape is IMO worse in every category than the shozy1.4.
So overall i really like this set.
FlorianskiMine were too bright on the high end compared to my FH-3s and KBear Believes. Could have been tuned wrong? I sold mine. Treble sensitive. Everyone else says they are not that bright.
A little underwhelming. Definitely a beater set to have as a spare in the laptop bag. I would say pass and save your money. The Blons are 10X better. I have Fii0 FH5, FA7, FH7, Blons-03, Sony IER-M7. All have better music replay. I will burn them in a few days and see if that helps. They seem very thin and tinny. I will report back if that improves the sound.
update: so I figured out what is wrong with this set and it seems to be the seal with my ears. I had to tip roll a bit and to me the medium JVC spiral dot were the best fit. now the bass is there and the overall presence is better. Are they awesome. No but just an FYI to current owners of this set. The include tips did not work out at all. So that is my experience and hopefully that helps.
lol. thanks for making me laugh, I needed that. So what I mean if you have never heard the term means to leave them running with music playing for a few days. to loosen the diaphragm. Kind of like when you wash jeans a few times and they become more loose and comfortable over time. The Shozy is an okay set. I have burned them in(used them for about a month) and there is a slightly nicer sound now but nothing that would change my mind about them. If you get these, I suggest you try other tips and for me the included tips did not work at all. I prefer silicon tips and I found the JVC sprial dots worked best.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined!
Off goes 150$ down the drain, I've got numerous cheaper IEMs that sound better [Under 60$-30$].
Sound Quality:
In normal IEMs when you are listening to a song you clearly hear singer and then instruments in background, but in case of Shozy Form 1.4 this is not the case! Instead I can loudly hear all the minor instruments to major instruments overpowering the singer! I have to try my best make out what singer is singing! this leads to cluster"F" of noise that hurts my ears and head!
Let's forget about the songs for a moment and focus on Instrumentals/Music Which is also terrible, These IEMs amplify the music to the point where i can hear previously unheard instruments and with that it also amplifies the Noise/Hiss that recordings come with! They also sound Hollow and Unnatural just like 1$ IEMs you find at garbage stores.
Fit Quality:
These IEMs Fit in my ears nicely even when Im in bed, but what good is that when they sound terrible ?
Accessories:
Tips are not fitting my ears, Had to use Tips from Sony XB90EX.
Carry Case has Shozy logo tiled to side which bothers with my OCD.
Cable isn't bad but at this price point it's a low blow.
