'Stretch twill': is this material made with 100% cotton or has it been blended with elastane? Every chino manufacturer seems to be cutting their cotton with elastane as if people won't notice. Feels like wearing plastic bags or a wetsuit.
mjl2009It is a blend but nothing like you are describing, the look and hand feel of the chino's doe not give the impression in person of them being stretch ( or anything close to a plastic bag or wetsuit)
Customers have been pleasantly surprised that a pant that looks and feels like a standard chino has a good amount of stretch to them.
SlashandBurnCoI can attest to the stretch feel versus look of stretch. As @SlashandBurnCo stated, I was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the pant. They offer significantly comfortable movement while still looking like a Chino. I can wear them to the office with a button-down and still maintain the progressive styling I prefer.
KopoHello Kopo,
Please note the Waist Width measurement you are referring is the measurement referenced as "C" to "D" in the attached image. It is the widest portion of the pant and thus it may be throwing off your perception of the pant sizing.
I assure you that for the size 36" you are referencing is going to be nearly the same in all size 36" pants.
Just got my pair, great quality and fit.
Just one little thing though: What's the point of this leather patch? It would be nice if it had "Slash and Burn Co." imprinted on it, but this plain leather patch is pretty silly in my opinion.

And a note for people who are considering these :they are pretty warm and heavy, Im certainly not gonna wear them on hot days.
crafty35aI agree it is a bit of a restriction for our taller customers, for Spring/Summer 2018 we are making variations in length to accommodate these requests.
Our other pant for this season in the Normandie Cut Off Chino and length obviously isn't an issue on those.
Even though I jumped on two pairs (black, olive) in the last drop, I went ahead and ordered the khaki version off their website. I can say with confidence that these may be my new favorite pair of pants, even over my Raleigh Denim's. The level of comfort combined with the look of a Chino is outstanding. Here's to hoping SlashandBurnCo produces the pant in an extended color range because I'm tempted to buy every future color offered. I wish the best of luck to this new clothing company!
Will my lower leg fit into size 34 with little/no 'pre-stretch' around the calf?
My calves are just shy of 17" in circumference. For reference, the fit of these size 34, Massdrop x USDG 14oz Navy Selvage Denim works.
XplantXpatThank you for the inquiry, these are slimmer cut so you may see a bit of 'pre-stretch' with near the 17" calf size.
I wear the size 32 with a 15.5" calf and they are touching my calf without 'pre-stretching'
