How would you add the SH-9 headphone amp? From the DAC, I want to go RCA to my stereo power amp as well as feed the headphone amp.

How do you switch between the 2 outputs? Can you do it with the remote? I really appreciate your reply, thanks so much, David

I would imagine so, but I don't own the SU-9 personally so I'm not sure.

Marketing Quite Absurdly (that it is not a lossy format). https://youtu.be/pRjsu9-Vznc

This is correct. MQA was developed not necessarily to add quality, but specifically to add DRM. In essence, it is just FLAC with applied digital filters, though usually, because it is "tuned up" to the human ear perception MOA sounds better than old plain vanilla FLAC at the same resolution. When used thru digital streaming services (like Tidal, etc.) MQA is worth it IMO since it frees you from applying your own digital filters, but if you are buying files to build your own musical library MQA is superficial and very inconvenient to have actually.

I try not to do this but..... I bought this on APOS for $390, not sure why DROP is $70 more. SMH, I miss the old MD.

This item, SU-9 DAC, is same price on APOS. However the SH-9 headphone amp is $390. Maybe that's the one you're referring to. They do look similar. ...oops, nevermind, the SH-9 is actually $290 on APOS.

Amazon has them for $459 and free shipping. Drop will have to do better. Been here on drop before and same issue.
