I have the Sony NW-A35 Walkman, and I absolutely HATE that Sony doesn't share ANY specs about their players, including output impedance, DAC chips, output power, HP Amp chips, etc. I paid $220 for my NW-A35 Walkman last year, and my $100 Shanling M0 DAP honestly sounds much better than the Sony, at half of the cost. My next DAP will be the Shanling M5s music player, and I won't be looking to "upgrade" anytime soon, because I actually know what's inside of the M5s!!!

FOBeanIsn’t it possible, considering it’s Sony, that they use their own DAC/Amp chips instead of stuff from Texas Instruments or Cirrus Logic? I would like to see the output impedance stats too, but I could swear I saw the power output published somewhere.

EvshrugYou are probably right about the power output and their use of proprietary components, but they're still really vague about a lot of things when it comes to their own specs overall, and not just their DAP's! If they're using proprietary components, then I wish they'd at least tell me that LoL 😁

FOBeanWhat do you think about the system and scrolling responsiveness about the Shanling?
