Styled with aesthetic cues from bi-planes of old, Szanto’s 6100 Series Aviator Automatic features a large case with stylish and legible Arabic numerals. The numerals are colored in an almost sepia tone, not unlike vintage photos of airplanes in a museum or history book Read More
This is actually pretty awesome. A really nice zenith homage, love those hands!!
For those complaining about the size, aviator watches of this type tend to be pretty large and the zenith watches these watches are homages of are pretty massive themselves. The Zenith Pilot Montre d’Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903 for example that looks very similar to this is 48mm. This larger size is a call back to World war era wristwatches which were converted pocket watches.
I love this watch but it’s too expensive for what it is. I should have bought it when it was $130 on Amazon. Wish I had picked up an Air Blue when they were only $150 with an NH35 movement.
The watch has a K1 mineral crystal and SuperLuminova Swiss "radium" colored lume. We're trying to keep the watches very affordable priced and sapphire on this 46mm watch put it into a higher price category.
The founder of this company was with Luminox, first realeases were quartz models (pretty attractive too) so the automatics are newer. Like others in this thread, would agree it would be a better buy at a lower price point.
I did not question the quality of your product.
This forum is designed to leverage multiple buyers & offer significant discounts on a unit basis, and given that, I would expect to see a lower price .
watchkookunderstood and duly noted. your comments were not perceived as questioning the quality.
and apologies for the typos in the last response. thanks for your feedback.
Also too much for a watch with a Miyota 8XXX-series movement. It's a solid enough "workhorse" movement, accurate enough, and durable - but also very inexpensive.
Meh, Zenith copy.
The whole point of Zenith is the quality, combined with the look. This is over priced for what it is even without being a copy of another watch.
PlantagenetI'm sure Szanto does not pretend to be Zenith. Zenith proudces fantastic watch product that are of a very high level but also at pretty steep prices. They are works of art and may well be worth the high prices they command. It would seem Szanto is trying to offer "the look at a price" for those that may want to enjoy wearing "the look" for a nominal price.
