Winner of Japan’s prestigious Visual Grand Prix Gold Award and one of Audiostream’s “Greatest Bits,” the TEAC UD-501 DAC/amp “invites you into each musical performance, making it downright difficult to leave.” Its dual-monaural design features two BurrBrown PCM1795 32-bit DACs, two MUSES8920 opamps, and two toroidal-core power transformers per channel—which together make for a clear, pure, three-dimensional sound. Along with native DSD playback at either 2.8 MHz or 5.6 MHz (DXD) rates, the UD-501 supports ASIO2.1 and DoP playback and PCM audio up to 384 kHz/32-bit resolution.
Note: This drop is for the UD-501 in black only and limited to 7 units. Please note that this is a discontinued model.
Small enough for desktop placement and loaded with a large number of inputs and outputs, the TEAC UD-501 has everything you need for full-scale hi-fi system integration. The front, side, and top panels are made of aluminum and attached to a robust steel chassis, eliminating vibrations and allowing the internal circuits to perform under stable conditions. Along with two optical and coaxial digital inputs, you’ll find find one pair of balanced XLR and one pair of unbalanced RCA outputs for connecting to a power amplifier.
