Alright I'm stuck... Since buying the TFZ 1 I've been reading reviews about the TFZ series 5s. What I've heard is the series 5 is better than Shure 215's.
Can anyone explain why the TFZ King would be a better choice than the series 5s?
ZachLI have the 1s and 5s. The 5s is just such a beast I really dont know how they could get better. I think these are specifically designed to not need an amp though.
ZachLFrom what I read on head fi and other sources, TFZ King has more treble response leading to a more analytical sounding earphone. Where as TFZ series 5 is a basshead earphone being more focused on the bass. As to whether which is better I have no idea, but then again they both have different sound signatures.
themindfreakThis helps; I tested my tfz 1 vs my skullcandy ink'd wireless and the ink'd actually sounds better to me only because of the highs. The drum cymbols are very clear and sharp on the ink'd but my tfz 1 the drums are not as clear. At higher volumes everything is fine but at low volume the ink'd wins. Gonna try these kings out since they have better treble response. Thanks dudes
ZachLHonestly? Fuck the SE215. It used to be quite good and its build quality remains unmatched but there are many chi fi alternatives that offer better sound and removable cables in that price point.
billpikaInteresting. Would you mind share more detail on what chi fi alternatives to SE215 that offer better sound and removable cables? I'm new to this chi fi thing, heard this term alot on discussion threads though.
