nice but the logos on the wood and headband ruin it. they need to think up a logo or change their font, uck.

I think it would be better without it. Or at least just put a logo instead of a name. I know a name could be a logo but whatever.

UzuzuThe logos are ideal I think. My brother is a furniture maker, and he makes logos for some of his more refined items, using a hand etcher, which gives it a genuine handmade look. Grado makes some expensive headphones (GH1 at $650) that look very handmade, and some people love them, some don't.

Mine bought from last drop, arrived 4 days before the estimated shipping date. Kudos toThinkSound and MD for super fast service. Potential buyers be warned, the actual color of the earcups may not be as pretty as those photos on MD. My pair came in semi-gloss brown and one earcup is darker than the other cup. Apart from the wooden cups and very nice cables, the head band is another story, quite pedestrian looking and not so impressive quality in this price range. Zoom in the attached photos to see what I mean, especially the plastic part. The headband fabric material absorbs dust quite easily. I personally prefer to have the a plain headband without the thinksound and it's logo since the earcups already have it engraved on them. Something like Fostex cans would definitely look nicer.

perhaps but I wasn't talking about the color or grain. More like the finish and shape.

UzuzuNice round earcups with great yokes, folds up small. The finish reflects some light, but it's not shiny. I like it.

I purchased these during an earlier drop and love them. It was an impulse buy which I justified (like I always do with headphones) by the fantastic price on massdrop (they normally sell for $200 not the $300 msrp listed). I was very pleasantly surprised at first listen. The more i listened the more I liked them. They are beautifully warm with a surprising amount of detail. Decent soundstage and very good imaging. Bass is tight but full at the same time. Not an analytical can by any means (which I do enjoy) but the combination of excellent detail and warmth make these a fun headphone.
They are also very comfortable (I have large ears and usually find supra-aural cans uncomfortable...but not these). They've become my go-to headphones for every day use.
I strongly recommend these at this price. They have a unique sound signature and nothing I've listened to comes near them at this price (they are even competitive at $200). Best purchase (value/quality) I've made at massdrop.

For 120 bucks you can't miss. Any of those EQ's should be perfect, because the On1 is well-balanced to begin with. I know the M50 well, and the On1 is a breath of fresh air, lightweight, comfy, and the wood earcups help with a more natural tonality.

Got mine today. They are indeed more "on-ear" than "over-ear" style. Which is somewhat unfortunate as I prefer the "over-ear" style, but that is personal preference.
The sound is amazing. I wouldn't call them flat, they definitely have a bit of a bass boost, but they are very fun to listen to. I don't think they will unseat my K7xx as my daily drivers, but they probably will find a permanent spot on my desk, as I do prefer them for some music styles.
Build quality feels good as well. Very pleased they used a standard male-male 3.5mm cable, makes cable customization no problem. The included cables are top notch though.

I have a pair of these and they are awesome. I am a coder and work with them on for long stretches during the day and I find them comfortable. The sound is just awesome. I'm no audiophile but I have a pair of Allesando MS1, ATH-M50x and also these. The ON1's are my absolute favourite; they sound so... "rich" compared to the others. I listen to rock and chilled house mostly.
My only gripe is that the earpads on the one earcup twist off too easily and I often need to put them back on when I remove them from the case I have them in.
Get a pair, you won't regret it!

How are these compared to the Bose Soundtrue? That's what I currently own, but I'm afraid they've suffered from years of constant use and abuse, and now I'm looking for a replacement travel headset.

NacMacFeegleThe SoundTrue series have a serious recess in the highs, making them far below hi-fi standard. You could probably enjoy both in most outdoor settings or where there's significant noise, but indoors or in quiet places, quite a difference.

Does anyone know what the differences between On 1 and On 2? I saw both on Amazon and I guess that On 1 is older model?

Thank you. I prefer ON2. I will wait for it to be available on MD again. :)

decommoHeadband went from fabric to the pleather, One of the headband pieces went from plastic to metal, it was a weak point, and some small tuning tweaks to the sound.
