Topping A90 Headphone Amplifier

If you can get one, do it. I've bought and sold a lot of amplifiers, but I just can't get past how good this is. Keeping it with a Topping D10b which is simplicity itself. Just one power cord, no bluetooth or MQA hocus pocus. This powers the Hifiman HE6Se wonderfully, just use a balanced DAC for the extra voltage. Also the Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm is good even on medium gain on the less powerful 6.35mm connector, it's a lot of power to work with. I could see using high gain for the Beyers if you equalize and do a big preamp reduction, but not normally. I compared last night to the A30Pro and the A90 has a larger soundstage, but they sound pretty much the same otherwise. The A30Pro will also heat up the room pretty good (1-2 F) since it's class A when it has 250ohm or higher on it. The Sabaj A20d DAC and SMSL M300 MKII also work/sound great. I even lined out a Soundblaster X1 into the RCA for surround sound gaming and it was fun! If you use a DAC like the M300 the filters and colors are much easier to notice with the A90 just because of the clarity/transparency it has. Maybe they'll do another drop now the SE version is out. I also hope they do a drop for the Beyerdynamic T90 and T70 (listening to the T90 and it's so detailed, amazing with the A90/D10b combo).
