nantipaneithLike 299 to 399 I think. I still have my original set that is the non-s version
Edit: And I still like them! Affordable and comfortable quad driver, although my original 900 do have the problem of losing sound briefly if the mmcx connectors rotate the wrong way. Very few IEMs have given me a better seal from the outside world than these. The video shown, the guy states his are definitely not the S version but I think they are, as my OG UE900 have small differences in the shells and cables.
mayorblurpsGiven that you have the 900, I heard that the pinhole next to the main sound bore becomes clogged overtime. Has that happened to you yet and if yes, how did it alter sound quality?
SRTChrisS1That hasn't happened to me yet. I have heard of that happening too but for the years I've owned them I haven't had any sound quality issue except for the brief sound loss related to the mmcx connectors and how they rotate. They aren't my daily IEMs though, and I have a few pairs that I listen to on a rotating basis. Right now my current favorite is the Sony XBR-90EX. The only IEMs I own with BA drivers are the UE900.
SRTChrisS1According to rinchoi.blogspot.com, it will lower bass response over time as it gets more and more clogged. Though it still remains quite linear despite that.
tinyman392Thanks for your input guys. I've always been tempted to buy these since my old XBA-4iP broke. Unfortunately I've already purchased the Brainwavz B400, though it may not stop me from buying these too.
SRTChrisS1There’s a way to prevent clogging issue. You can purchase several pairs of Comply tips with cover(waxguard) on the top directly from their official site. I used them for many of my IEMs and they performed well! http://www.complyfoam.com/products/t-200/
