I hope Massdrop gets Ultrawides with G-sync at some point. All I ever see on here is Freesync ones. Kinda frustrating. I check every day for one.

first of all, thanks for the information about 3440x1440p ultrawide games running 100hz for gtx 1080ti. i have the 2560x1400p krn monitor with the r9 390 and i couldnt push it 100hz/100fps. but i plan to upgrade to a this monitor or something just like this 3440x1440p 100hz. but i know the rx580 would be no where close to holding 100fps for 3440x1440p. i thought that maybe the gtx 1080 can but after seeing youtube videos comparing gtx 1080ti vs gtx 1080 the average FPS for the 1080 is around 60-80 depending on the open world modern games like GTAV, Witcher 3, far cry series. and roughly ~80-100fps for the 1080ti. so really the only graphic card closest to handling it is the gtx 1080ti but i wasnt sure if still may have a problem. from what you are saying, it seems like even the gtx 1080ti will have some hiccups. I guess the next best choice would be to get the 2560x1440p viotek gold 32" monitor as to use. reason why i am saying this is because i dont want to cough up 700$ for a 1080ti and 500$ for this monitor and find that its not up to my expectation. noone online was i able to get anyone's review on these monitors on a gtx 1080 and 1080 ti to running 100hz/100fps. only thing i want to point out is, getting upset or frustrated on forums isnt worth it. there will always be trolls even if it wasnt intentional or if it was. say what you need to say and people will take what is worth. i learned that the more one talks the more people will attack or blame. i know i learned it in dota 2. always have the blamer trying to pick a scapegoat when they lose and its usually the one that talks most.

bonbon525If you are wanting to get a smooth performance you can definitely change some settings down a bit, but if you are looking to truly max everything out, there's nothing you can really do to guarantee 100 frames at these resolutions in some of the most taxing games. Still I think the difference between 1080 and 1080ti is well worth it personally and I think you'd be very happy with 3440. I think the bump in resolution is worth having to turn a few things down personally.

Massdrop if you « listened » as stated in your email, you would drop a gsync monitor

Who cares what technology Nvidia uses? If you want freesync don't buy their cards. Easy peasy.

Because they provide a better value overall. The fact is Gsync and Freesync is not necessary on fast refresh monitors if your video card can handle the refresh rate.

FYI no VESA mount, which makes this completely useless For my application and most others. The stand sits 3 inches off the desk with no height adjustment. I returned mine...

A little bird told me that MassDrop might recognize the existence of G-Sync monitors in a couple years.
Don't quote me, on it. Rumors and whatnot.

That is the catch 22 isn't it. I bought a GTX 970, but cannot afford a G-sync ultrawide. If I had bought a RX380. I could have had a Free-sync ultrawide from MD a long time ago, but the performance was too low.

If I'm a potato, you are Hutch's sycophant and MD's shill. You are the one off-topic, discussing monitors which are not even VA or from the same manufacturer when the discussions started with how it would be nice to have this monitor with gsync. It doesn't exist! you bringing up monitors not related in any way to this drop does not help but rather takes the discussion away from why there's no gsync alternative of this monitor. So you are the one who is no "readying" the discussion, on the contrary, you are the one derailing it, along with the MD rep, both spewing irrelevant and unhelpful information, if not outright wrong, like the constant Hutch's assertions about $500 difference between gsync and freesync models which is proven incorrect in the article I linked above.

Anzialyou are the only one talking about the va panel we are all talking about gsync in general. you are the one who decided to join our conversation and talk about VA for some reason. we where just talking about how if you wanted a ultra wide monitor 34in at 3440-1440p with gsync it would cost 400-500$ more how hard is this for you to understand? like really how did you get so lost in all of this? its so simple 34inches 3440p by 1440p curved with around 100Hz refresh rate you are no longer welcome in our talk about monitors when you only want to talk about the wrong stuff <3

Looks like Viotek is running a sale on it's website for $599.99. Is it a good time for MassDrop to jump on the sale? Just an FYI. @B.Hutch

Never get g sync monitors on massdrop

The drops aren't very successful because people expect Massdrop to do some form of magic and get those monitors for $400 under MSRP. So when Massdrop finally gets these monitors they offer them at a deal, but not nearly as much as people are hoping. Freesync monitors sell better because they're super cheap.

solBLACKyou nailed it pretty much, I am team green as well, but g-sync wasn't a deal breaker for me being missing, as I don't have it now, and wont front the few hundred dollar premium that comes with it.
