I've had the privilege to try this IEM at a local audio shop and I can say yes, they are great for the price. Its a well balanced IEM but lacks real clarity and micro details. Isolation is pretty decent and is very comfortable to wear.

UnicrogrillamoDid you listen to them with the included tips? I couldn't get good isolation with any of them, but I did get a fairly good seal with some JVC Spiral Dot tips, and another pair of larger tips. I think that's about the worst I can say about them. For some reason, I've bought three pairs of touted and inexpensive earphones over the past few weeks, and these gave the best initial impression of the three. For one thing, I listened to them for a little over an hour, and didn't wince once. That's saying something. I haven't taken them out to compare, but I think they may sound at least as good as the Brainwavz B100s, and probably better than the $150 MSRP Kef M100s I'm glad I only paid $30 for.

DarrylGHey there, I believe I tried them with acoustune tips, which vaguely reminds me of the feel of Audio Technica tips. Similarly I had not done a side by side comparisons with the other sub 50 IEMs, but from the top of my head, the SQ is the best I've heard so far for the under 50 price cat...

God, these sound awful
One of the worst IEMs I’ve heard. Way too much bass, finicky fit, and everything sounds like it’s coming from the other side of a brick wall

Here's the closest thing I could find for a review. It sounds like a casual listening session but the reviewer is experienced. These S2000s sound like a great value.
"I then listened to the biggest shocker of the entire show, the ADV S2000. The IEM is designed to just ergonomically melt into your ear. It is flat with a perfectly angled nozzle and body that will allow it to remain unobtrusive even whilst sleeping. It has a fixed cable and a sleek black body. It is supremely comfortable. On sound, I listened to Norah Jones – Feelin’ the Same Way. I found that snare was little thin, that vocals had a touch of sweetness for Norah, and that the soundstage was wide with good height (impressive). Then I heard the price. $20. Twenty friggin’ bucks. I thought the sound of these would compete with many $200 offerings. I think that once these come out, everybody and their dog needs to get a pair. Shoot, at this price, my daughter’s dolls might benefit from better sound. I told them that I thought the price was too low, and they might cannabalize some of their higher model sales. They didn’t seem concerned. That’s some mighty confidence in your other offerings. Also, clever name S2000 ($20.00), they’ll have to stick with the price now. "

Inadequate review or not, they are the newest pair they sell, and reviews wouldn't come around immediately like they do with the latest iPhone haha :)

boot2skullI wouldn't call that a review. I wrote it. It was show impressions. If you've ever been to an audio show, you'll know that impressions on the floor may not be backed up by impressions when you get them home. I talked about the most interesting and most likely to be maintained post show parts, the comfort, and the price. I still rec these for $20, but I've now had experience with fit issues at home, and found the treble a bit bright with stock tips. I'll be including these in a sub $25 shootout later this year. There is a lot of impressive stuff under $50.

Just got it from mail. Tried it for few hours, and verdict is this thing sound rock! Punch yet good balance bass. Treble is bright. Bang for buck for sure. Make sure fit into ear all the way other wise it will sound horrible.

HwoALanGYep just opened mine also. Massdrop/Manufacturer made a fast delivery on these vs what I've ordered historically!
I found that even for a negative profile IEM, the stems are very shallow, so you may find using a size larger tip than you're used to in order to get a good seal, of which they include 4 sizes of silicon tips. Sound isolation appears to be not as good as se215, even after I've gotten a good seal, so I may be picking up some double/triple flange tips to get a better seal on these.
Otherwise, first impressions are great, very happy with the $20 spent so far! Cable length is decent enough, materials feel good. It's unexpected to find the microphone (in my version) on the right earphone, but it doesn't bother me and it's at a good position an inch or two below the chin. Above the cable split, a slider to keep the cable tidy is included, and this portion appears to be a bit over 12" so plenty comfortable in that regard. For cable noise, I've heard better but I've heard a LOT worse so I think they did great for the price.
I'll have to get back to you guys on my opinion of the sound, but these are my first impressions so let me know if anyone has any questions! For the first few songs I've listened to I'll say that I'm not offended by anything particularly out of balance. I'm going ahead and requesting that they drop again to pick up a 2nd pair.

Just received these. Usually a new IEM or headphone takes awhile to get used to, but these immediately made a very good impression.
First of all, the shape is great. Pretty close to perfect. Very, very thin for an over-ear and very light. They don't quite "disappear" (nothing does) but they aren't that far off. Can definitely use these in bed and lay down on your ear.
As a guy with small ears, I really appreciate the moldable ear guides.
The sound is pretty spectacular, especially for the price. Saying that these can compete with $200 IEMs might, if anything, be an understatement. These things hit way, way above their price point, and if it's any indication I don't experience too much of a shock jumping from balanced HD-800s with $2500 worth of gear to these driven through a One Plus One. They're fairly energetic, but also somewhat (somewhat being the operative word) neutral. Fairly analytical but free of sibilance. Mids are slightly recessed and bass is moderately boosted and could be a bit tighter, but that's to be expected. Well above average, but not great soundstage and seperation.
One interesting attribute I've found is that isolation is very poor. For some people this may be a good thing, but for most it will not be. They're also a bit fatiguing. But for $20, these are pretty easy compromises to make.

hurleybirdI agree with your appraisal. I found that these work best with comply foam tips as the fit is a bit finicky and the treble is a bit forward. I don't usually put Comply foams on because I find that they soften the bass, warm the sound, and remove treble detail. However, these need some of those effects. I think it was a shame that they include Comply in their other IEMs but didn't here. Missed opportunity. All-in-all, excellent sounding IEMs with a very detailed approach and punching well over their price bracket for sound quality.

hurleybirdI'd say I agree with the majority of your assessment. These are the best $20 IEMs I've heard by far, but given that I've yet to hear $200 IEMs I can't agree or disagree with the comparison. For me these are non-fatiguing, luckily.

I too had to do exactly the same thing as you did because I had the same problem. The tips sat so shallowly in my ears that I couldn't get a decent seal with any of the included tips and nothing from my collection either. Ended up doing the same as you. Sacrificed a small tip to create a spacing ring. Wish I'd have read your comment before I spent a bunch of time on figuring out a solution myself.

Listening to this and Monks side by side makes me feel like I paid an extra $10 to get a set of Monks that actually fits in my ears. It sounds better, but that might just be because it fits better. Weirdly, they compare best to my $20 over-ear Sennheiser 201s (which I've always thought was a steal; Amazon confirms this, as they are currently listed for $36.) Similarly detailed (which is to say not very, by my standards,) similarly a little boomy for my tastes, similarly extremely comfortable. Fortunately, I bought them as cheap travel earbuds, not budget sonic heaven, so "decent but unremarkable" is just fine with me.

What size should I use on these for the T series of Comply's foam tips? Can't seem to find anything on the internet about it.... The s2000's aren't listed on comply's website either

MattyChongIf I had to guess, I'd say the nozzles are 4mm in diameter, but you should contact Advanced Sound, so you know for sure.

Ordered for $5 more from the Advanced Sound website to get it (hopefully) before Christmas for myself. Seems like a good deal here, I will update with my impressions when I receive them. The drop says 5 days left tho so I'm not sure if I will be able to review them before it ends
