Product Description
A single-ended amplifier from newcomer Airist Audio, the Heron 5 caused quite a stir at this year’s CanJam expo—and for good reason. It boasts discrete circuits, outputs with both low and high impedance, and a high power output of 5 watts at 32 ohms Read More
For anyone interested, I'm considering selling my Heron. No issues, just under used with a new amp sitting here. Doesn't look like Airist or this drop are coming back soon. They sort of disappeared.
kevinhI think it was $600 here... can’t remember. Was thinking $400 if I sold it. A buddy of mine was talking about wanting it at one point though, so I never put a ton of thought into the price. Either way, if anybody is interested or has questions, send me something over on reddit, same name there.
Seems that Airist is nowhere, the web-site is not working right and no one answers by FB. I've being searching for something similar or better for the same price. What would that be? Maybe the Gustard H20?
Adding a point to my short impression: music has an exceptional emotional quality to it. Especially with live vocal performances. Haven’t felt this way with my Jot or Taurus Mk2. Hence my first remark: Goosebumps!
Hey Buddy, how is Heron going on , i suppose it must have been used over above 100 hrs or initial burn-in. What r ur impressions now and comparison to jot :) !!!
gabu840It’s awesome. Loving it even more. Can‘t get over how 3 dimensional the soundstage is for Heron. Clean precise instrument separation front to back. The Jot feels like 2 dimensional in comparison.
MarcSpenceIt works great with MrSpeakers Ether and HD6XX, so yes to both. And the amp isn't backed by manufacturer warranty, you'll need to contact Massdrop for returns within their 30-day return period for faults.
