Massachusetts-based American Bench Craft says, “If it’s good enough for the Marines, it’s good enough for us.” So when the team got their hands on a few surplus US Marine Corps assault pouches, they decided to repurpose them into the ultimate toiletry kits. They took the tough ballistic nylon fabric and fixed snap hooks to the Molle webbing, so you can easily hang your pouch wherever you need to. Plus, they added a riveted leather patch bearing the company’s signature stars-and-stripes emblem for a dopp kit that’s every bit as unique as it is durable. The low-profile pouch lays flat and packs away easily, and the bottom has a grommet that allows moisture to drain.
Founded by two brothers who wanted to make a better, longer-lasting wallet, American Bench Craft now offers a full range of tools and accessories, including belts, bracelets, key fobs, luggage tags, knife sheaths, and more. All products are made in the company’s workshop in downtown Reading, Massachusetts, using traditional equipment and simple hand tools, and each part of the process—from cutting to stamping to riveting to finishing—is done entirely by hand. Everything American Bench Craft makes is built to stand the test of time and field-tested to ensure it’s up to the challenge.
