There’s no question these low-cut sneakers—with their suede uppers, padded collar, and contrasting gum-rubber cupsoles—are modeled after skate shoes. Even the sawtooth outsole (for traction) and OrthoLite molded footbed (for comfort) cater to the kick-push set. But with a pigskin lining and premium suede upper, not to mention an understated design that’s virtually free of branding, they’re built as much for the party as they are for the park.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of Black or Gray suede. This drop is limited to 144 units; 77 gray and 67 black.
Founded in 2014 by four style junkies with years of experience in footwear and fashion, Los Angeles-based Article No. set out to approach shoes the way minimalist artist Richard Serra approaches sculpture: clean construction, sweeping lines, bold shapes. The result is a graceful combination of streetwear and high fashion—shoes that transition seamlessly between the blacktop and the dance floor.
