Named after a stealth, guided-missile destroyer ship from the United States Navy, the Zumwalt from Artisan Cutlery is a force to be reckoned with. Measuring 9 inches long, this streamlined folder sports a lengthy D2 blade that opens at the press of the flipper tab Read More
DangocrazyDid this come with a Kizer cloth? If so, that seems odd since this is artisan cutlery. I have noticed that at times it seems like AC takes cues from Kizer and Bestech, but I don’t own any so that is based only on my inexpert view with only pictures to go on.
Been watching Artisan Cutlery since Jan. after watching LTK on youtube https://youtu.be/oHETRqCSLVA
Back then
the only way to buy one was at the show or via their website , but the order form was broken for months. Since then they have created a distribution chain and are available at all the popular online knife stores.
Since Jan. my interest faded and I have yet to buy one of their knives. I really hear mostly good things.
Without ever handling one, my two complaints are, 1, they are all heavier than the completion and 2, most have that stupid cover plate on the show side covering the extra lefty holes. The cover plate kills many of their nice designs.
I might go for the black and white one. Undecided....
I am thinking about joining the drop. I have two knives from Artisan and they are excellent. They are great value. I have the full sized Shark in S35V with carbon fiber and the Tomahawk in D2 with G1O. Both are great flippers with outstanding action. I am please with both and they are both high quality. I see Artisan as an up and coming company that gets you a lot of blade for your money. I just don’t know if I need another one.
Shame the orange doesn't come in the tapered scales.
Been waiting for a design I like to try this brand... This one looks pretty nice, though it's a bit on the large side still
ShredzThey are a relatively new brand but the reviews on bladehq seem to say that they are nice knives with good build quality but I haven’t checked any of the ones that sold here before for reviews.
