Living up to the Audioengine name, the HD6 wireless speakers deliver exceptional audio with cutting-edge connectivity. So much more than a simple set of speakers, the HD6 is a comprehensive Bluetooth sound system with support for the aptX HD codec and an impressive 100-foot range Read More
Remember, these (like most) “wireless” speakers must be connected to each other by wire! In other words where you place them, and how far apart you want them from each other, is limited.
Spend a few bucks more and buy a set of Edifier S3000 Pros; they require NO wired interconnection, just power cords:

Not true at all!
However, I do allow that broadly speaking, esthetics are a matter of opinion, which explains, I suppose, why your mother still keeps your baby pictures on the piano?
ReficuleStill very worth it. I got them for about $499 a year ago. Am considering picking up another pair at this price. It's still $150 saved on great speakers.
Nice setup! Mine is very similar, with Schiit Bifrost 2 and Lyr 3, plus the Clear OG like yours. Fantastic combo, the Focals are just great!
I recognize your Jot 2, is that a Modius or Bifrost DAC?
I love the speakers as well, but Drop version has their own (non) warranty of 30 days only, they emailed me after I bought them. Bummer! I hope Audioengine would help out anyway if ever necessary...
RobsonThanks, its the Jot 1, and sounds great with the Modius ;-) I'd bet AE would give support to your set, if anything goes wrong. I dealt with their CS on a minor issue (they were temporarily sold out of the HD6 in black when I wanted to upgrade from the A5+), they were extremely helpful and seemed happy to assist. As you can already tell, they're quite solidly built with quality components. The sound is convincing! Keep the boxes (if you have room) and receipts. I doubt you'll ever need service but, fecal matter transpires, as they say.
This company is unbelievable. I bought these speakers in May and waited months for them to be shipped to Hawaii. I watched the shipping tracker move like a snail across the country. Finally it gets to California and says it's been delivered. They hadn't been delivered. So for a couple weeks I was trying to get a hold of customer support to here about what happened. They said they think my speakers were being sent back to the sender on New Jersey. I was annoyed but whatever, they can send them out with a better shipping method. Nope! The said they didn't know why they got sent back and have a policy of not giving customers items that have been returned or something like that. So I said I would wait for them to make another drop and I would love to receive them at that time. The customer support told me that there wouldn't be another drop of the AudioEngine wireles HD6 speakers and he said he had already canceled my order. A couple weeks later I wake up and THERE IS A NEW DROP OF THESE SPEAKERS!!! I already bought the cheaper passive version of these speakers, which are not as good by a long shot supposedly, and had to buy an amplifier to power them. WTF DROP! Your support team is pathetic.
Also if you are looking for a great audio distributor check out upscale audio. They offer financing and sell hifi only. Here is a video with the guy who designs REL Subwoofers. Kevin Deals videos are extremely helpful for those prepared to drop some decent cash on Hifi. Audioengine is probably mid-fi compared to the stuff that Upscale Audio sells on the edge of LA county. https://youtu.be/3NWvDJVH1qY
