Whether you’re looking to fill out your desktop listening setup or add an unassuming subwoofer to your living room entertainment system, the Audioengine S6 Powered Subwoofer presents a pretty compelling sound-to-size argument. Measuring just 10 inches tall (what Audioengine bills as the height of two standard soda cans, stacked), the S6 won’t look quite as cumbersome as the typical home audio sub you’re used to. But thanks to 210 watts of full, resounding bass power, it should totally sound like the sub you’re hoping for. The 40-to-130-hertz continuously variable crossover frequency allows for the S6 to pick up where your system leaves off, and the 6-inch, long-throw woofers will ensure distance and room-filling resonance for your mixes. You’ll find a decent array of inputs as well, including a 3.5-millimeter mini-jack as well as line-level stereo RCA inputs for functionality that’s ready to go for most systems.
