the only thing going for it IMO is a sub-10mm thickness, but as others mentioned I’d be more interested in the Tissot powermatic 80 for much less.

Yeah, sure--it's the quartz version, but that just means it keeps better time and you never have to wind it!
So, tastes great or less filling, the choice is yours!
If price is an issue, I wouldn’t spend $700 on a watch either. My point is - if you already spent $700 on a watch, it’s a no brainer to spend another $500 to buy something mechanical.

I came here looking for a nice TechnoMarine Technocell, or maybe one of those sexy Sturmanskie Sputiks, hell even a way-cool Sevenfriday would be nice--but NO, I have deal with these skinny little Swiss watches instead!
