sturokCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure balanced outs require 2x as much circuitry since you're separately amping twice as many channels. I'd guess this means nearly 2x the parts cost. You'd be hard-pressed to find a high-end amp with balanced outs around this price.
sturokWhile $600 isn't cheap, I don't think it classifies as "high-end" either. The vast majority of headphone amps that I've seen in this price range are single-ended.
AudioMan612sup Audioman how u been? I sold my TH900 and got HD800 ...unbelievable headphones. I love how neutral and powerful sound is. Voices sound like real thing. Amazing.
TheRealVladI've been good! How about you? That's awesome man. I have very little experience with the TH900's, but I have heard them. They are nice, but I agree that the HD800's are better (again, from the little experience I have). One of my favorite headphone setups that I've heard to date has been HD800s powered by a Headamp GS-X Mk II.
