SexPandaByOdeonThey are really good but certainly have a niche, not a great all-purpose IEM imho. Given the right album, they can really sound amazing, but even still, vocals can be a bit recessed.
According to Crinacle, the Vega 2020 lack resolution, they are bassy but with uncontrolled bass, which kinda defeats the purpose. I guess maybe for -300$ it could be somehow worth it.
SexPandaByOdeonI don't know....for $550 maybe not that bad, but I haven't tried it. I wouldn't get it, because it also has a 1.5K big peak, where instruments are harsh the most, plus a few treble peaks. For $180 more you get the beast ThieAudio Monarch. I freakin' love my Monarch.
Mine arrived today and I gave them a quick listen before setting them to burn in a bit. Possibly the most Bass focused sound I’ve heard in quite a while. I a/b’d them against my CA Holocene’s and was very glad to discover they are wildly different animals with their own strengths.
Well, I pulled the trigger.
After having gotten 2 high end iems, Noble k10ua and Aether R essential I rarely listen to anything else other than my JVC FW01 for a switch to warm DD fun and hope this will fill that spot. Kinda wish I had just gone all in to begin with because now I have a bunch of $300 to $500 iems collecting dust.
What a waste.
Anyone who frowns upon the idea of spending this kind of money on an iem hasn't listened to them.
Considering the amount of time I spend listening to something I can take anywhere that scales with equipment, it's worth it considering what many spend on home systems they can listen to a fraction of what I can with these, it's easily justified.
JakobWould be interested to see your comparison against fw01 as I have that too. Do you own other headphones as well? Wanted to know how the SQ of compare against headphone of similar prices.
BoobakerbrownIt's still dishonest IMO. Especially for people that don't cross-shop. They do it far too often for it to be a simple mistake. Either that or they really are inept. Neither answer isn't promising.
jaxtraumathe Vega line is several years old, but they did a refresh starting in 2020, but the refreshes are pretty rare. Most of the CA lineup have only been refreshed once if at all. Calling it the 2020 is just noting this is a post-refresh model opposed to the pre-refresh model. Sometimes
the sound signature can change somewhat significantly, so some people may end up preferring the sound of the pre-refresh earphones and have to
make sure that’s what they’re buying. It’s not like car model years where the 2020 model is immediately replaced by a 2021 model with refreshes every year.

Thank you for your response. If only customer service people worked and represented themselves and their product as well as your thoughtful post does. If you don't work for Campfire, they ought to hire you, for sure.
PS: how do they sound? ;-)
Hmm... good point i thought we had a private msg feature here, must be a diff site.
Here are my thoughts...
Comfort wise these feel real good in the ear! With the housing material it stays cools so your ears aren't irritated with warm plastic (get this alot from IEM's personally).
Contents of package give you more ear tips then you will ever need, the zipper case I felt looked like it was a good concept but poorly executed in the quality control reminded me of a make up bag i got my wife off Wish.
Sound... I got these using the description of the sound sig as a fun out and about set so I wasn't going into this thinking they were going to be balanced at all but more of a higher end beats kind of sig (elevated bass). Extended bass it does deliver but holy smokes did it overpower the mids/highs. I'd try and describe the highs and mids but I'm not sure what they sound like since the bass was so forward over everything. Campfires a top notch company and have many great well known IEM's and treat their customers right. If you are looking for something to dump bass (marshvll is an artist that comes to mind) this may be your jam but for me just missed the mark for a high end IEM.
Again these are my opinions.
