Cayin i5 Android Digital Audio Player

Just released this spring, the Android 4.4-based Cayin i5 stands out for its user-friendly touch screen and wireless connectivity with support for streaming services like Tidal and Spotify. It supports high-resolution formats up to 32 bit/384 kHz and DSD 64/128, and for those with an extensive music library, offers 200 gigs of external memory on top of the 32 gigs built in. You’ll get 11 hours of offline playback (or 10 hours online) via the 4800 mAh battery, and the all-in-one Type C port allows for fast charging, data transfer, and connecting to a DAC.

This digital audio player is equipped with the AKM4490 DAC chipset, PGA2311 volume control, two LME49720 buffer op-amps, and two BUF634 high-current headphone amplifiers. On the top panel, you’ll find the line out, phone out, and volume control; and on the bottom, the USB/SPDIF port. On the right side, there are three controls (previous, next, and play/pause) and a TF card slot; and on the left side, just the power button. At 5 by 2.5 inches, the Cayin i5 is designed to fit comfortably in your hand, so you can start a listening session just about anywhere.

Upon boot-up, pull down the notification settings by guiding your finger from the top to the bottom of the screen. Select the circle icon in the upper right, and then the fourth menu option, which will look like a globe icon. Choose the first option, then scroll down to select English.
