Headfonics review of the Cleer Flow II https://headfonics.com/cleer-flow-ii-anc-headphones-review/ "The Cleer Flow II is what I would call the next level up from budget ANC headphones such as the MPOW and Strauss & Wagner variants we compared it with. Certainly, in terms of overall aesthetics, materials, packaging, and accessories it merits its higher price point."

Yes, I tested the Bose mid-2019 but couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a pair of headphones, so I purchased the Cleer in December of that year as a Christmas gift to myself after reading how much of a value they were compared to Bose, Master & Dynamic or Bang & Olufsen, which were the other headphones on my list. The sound and build quality was underwhelming to say the least, but that was something that I was willing to live with considering the savings. The defective speaker, however, was the last straw. I'm just happy that it failed before the window to return had closed, or it would have just ended up in the garbage. I've had better performance from my cheap $30 KOSS KPH30I and $10 Panasonic RPHJE120K ErgoFit earbuds. I eventually bit the bullet and replaced the Flows with the Quiet Comfort, and am very happy that I did. To each his own, I guess. All I can say is that to my ears, I wasn't that impressed. That's the trouble with not being able to personally demo the unit and just relying on someone else's opinion. His perception may be entirely different than yours....

Skyblue314That's unfortunate. I run global sales for Cleer and would have loved the chance to earn back your business but I don't believe you contacted us through our customer service team as I would have known about it. Our failure rate % is extremely low and this is something that we pride ourselves on. Do problems pass through QC, unfortunately sometimes, they do, but it's how our company resolves that issue that shows our customers what we're made of as an entity. We're a startup company that tried launching just prior to the pandemic so growth online as a brand in the mid-tier price range on ecommerce sites when brick and mortar locations are shut down, is quite the challenge, I can tell you. Cleer Audio is a group of audio enthusiasts who have worked in massive A/V companies in this industry who came together in San Diego to make a darn good product at a fair price and do not want any customer to walk away from us feeling that our product is substandard. I hope we can earn your future business as your comments above do not represent what we're about. Personally, our sound signature leans more towards a flat response which is where my ears like the music to end up. But as you say, what one person likes, another may not. Some love the warmth in a Klipsch speaker where in others, the horn tweeters tear their eardrums apart. It's just funny that way. Thanks for your candor and I as I said, I hope we can earn your business again. Cheers and be well!
