Cold Steel has partnered with Andrew Demko for its latest round of innovative folders. Introducing the AD-10: a workhorse full-size S35VN folder built for any task. The AD-10 is rather traditional by design. It features a lockback, contoured G-10 scales, and a hefty S35VN blade with a thick tip. It carries on either side thanks to the ambidextrous tip-up clip. The shape of the handle is designed to prevent your fingers from slipping when thrusting, slicing, or cutting—even in the rain or with sweaty hands. See below for more info on the knife and the blade steel.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (pioneer of the integral frame lock, featured on the Gent), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process known as Crucible Powdered Metallurgy, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
