Just thought I'd drop by to say.
There's no way these socks are worth 20 USD. After looking at them/ trying them on, the most I could sanely pay for these is 2 USD a pair.
Reasons: 1. Do not stay in place. 2. Toes are not proper and stick out/ hang loose. 3. Yes material is comfortable, but no so different (to me) from cotton socks - just a bit thinner than the Bombas I usually wear. 4. Lifetime warranty - pretty useless to international buyers I think.
I regret getting on the hype train and ridiculously overpaying for a product that just isn't worth it. So these socks are handmade in the US - how does that help me? Not at all...

All reviews are subjective. By definition. But I like reviews for Massdrop products, however brief, because it helps me decide whether to buy.

Honest review. These are dress socks. Great for desk or office work. If you are on your feet all day in boots these are definitely not for you, wait for the hiker 2 pack to come back cuz they are great work/hiking socks. The lifestyle socks I have are super thin. Which I believe is intended, I dunno if I could even use them in boots during the summer.

namhodWas debating about trying these sometime ago but thank goodness I didn't. Sounds like using normal hiking socks is a better use of my money.

I just received my socks (I live in Paris)! This is my first experience with Darn Tough socks.
I didn't resist putting a pair on right away (my colleagues were wondering why the hell I was changing my socks in my offce) and I am happy the size is just perfect (I wear a true 43FR/9UK and the Darn Tough M is perfect).
They fit really well and they are incredibly soft. If they are as tough as they claim to be I will definitively replace all my socks by these ones at the next drop! I am just a bit concern that they fell off a bit from the calf. Time will tell.
To be picky, I wished the "Darn Tough" label would have been placed under the socks since I don't like diplaying brands on my clothes. I don't really mind this on technical apparel but since these are "lifestyle" models it would have been dressier not to show any brand when going shoeless :)

lesovikLoving the socks! Hoping MD can bring in other brands of similar quality. Active individuals require quality foot protection, period. I cannot believe how many people I see on the trails still lacing up with socks from the dollar bin a KMart. Their feet must be close to gangrene by the end of their hike / activity.
I started wearing only smartwool for literally everything 20 years ago, and can never go back to cheap blends, "dress socks" or especially cr*ppy cotton (ugh). Since the market started expanding I have been very happy bringing misc merino & advanced "active" offerings (including Darn Tough) into the mix over the past few years. DT socks are fantastic! I usually burn through a couple pair of ski socks in a season or 2 and my DT's still look like the day I purchased them after 150+ days. At these prices they are worth the "boring" drop.

Only shipping to the US, what happened?! Why arent these shipped internationally anymore?
I have ordered many a pair of Darn Tough socks on Massdrop, most of which I had to get shipped abroad. Now I wanted to order at least 6 more pairs but cannot anymore. It would be awesome if this became available again for international shipping. I am pretty sure there are quite a few customers who would buy again if shipped internationally...
