Quiet Headbanging

These will silence the crunch sound from hair against the stock pads. They are more squishy, so now my ears touch the foam covering the driver. The leather will reflect more frequencies, but fenestration keeps that to a minimum. All in all a good compromise for me YMMV

Edit: These took far less listening to break in these ear cups than I thought it would. I'm probably about 30-40 hours of listening into these ear cups and they've already gotten far more comfortable and formed a nice seal around my ears. These ear cups are worth the investment just to not have the scratchy sound the stock pads come with. I look forward to having them break in a bit more and form a better seal around my head. If I could make one recommendation it would be to change the clamping force of the headphones by bending them in a little bit if they don't form a full seal on your head. I adjusted mine slightly and it changed the comfort level of my headphones dramatically. Now that I've listened a bit more the soundstage doesn't feel as closed off as my original impression of these headphones. These are still the most open headphones I own and I own a multitude of open back headphones. I'm full satisfied with my purchase and these received the best friend seal of approval as a dramatic improvement in quality from the stock pads. Original review at first impression: I'll leave my first impression for people who get it and don't like it at first. First I'd like to start out with saying that I know that earcups break in over time and I understand that these will soften up over time but I have plenty of other sheepskin ear pads on other headphones that are softer and more comfortable to wear right off the bat. I'm still deciding on whether or not I like these more than the stock pads. The bass does seem to be brought out slightly more but the once extremely open and wide soundstage seems a little more closed off with these pads on. That being said they were extremely easy to install even with no provided instructions. Due to the fact that there isn't a dramatic improvement to the stock pads I can't see myself recommending this product to others unless you're a huge fan of the sheepskin pads over all other forms of pads. I guess one benefit to these pads is they don't collect dust and hair like the stock pads do and require less cleaning due to that. I'll update this review once the ear pads break in if I end up keeping these.

You hate that creaking plastic sound? These fix that!

I liked my 95x before these, now I love them. These pads get rid of that creaking sound you hear from the stock pads and I feel round out the sound better. They don't change the signature too much, but they do feel like a better sound. It also helps move the drivers slightly father away, improving on imaging and sound stage. These went from storage to my bedside after these pads. If that doesn't explain how much these pads are worth, I don't know what does. Great comfort, it slightly improved sub bass

I feel like there are no drawbacks to sound quality. Also on stock pads it was doing quite annoying sound when I moved my head even a little, now the annoyance is gone.

One of these tore as I was mounting it for the first time. COMPETE waste of money and time!!! Flimsy, extremely thin and low quality material. Complete waste.

Good build quality poor sound quality

I gave these 3 stars only because I like the build and feel of the pads as well as the ease of assembly. That being said I was not at all satisfied with the loss of sound stage and detail that I lost with these. To my ears ( and I hope all that read this understands that all sound is very subjective to you level of hearing, likes and dislikes). To my ears the tonality and clarity was very much vailed, almost as if the headphones were covered over, they sounded dull not as alive as the stock pads. They are also heavier and quit warmer on longer listening session. I did like that they seemed to lift the phones away from ears more, I could not feel them touching my ears as much. I have replaced these with the stock pads and I enjoy the overal sound much better. I'm also surprised by the lack of bass extension. From the description and other reviews I was expecting more, as I feel that this is the only thing that these electrostates are missing from being absolutely perfect. To sum it all up for the price these did not meet up to my personal expectations, I found them to be lacking. I'm not sure if I will return them or keep them as emergency backups In case my stock pads start to brake down in the future.

You’re welcome brother, wow I’m so happy for you :) especially for such expensive headphones, if you want a final solution suggestion for the best pillow ever by the way, it’s the Eden shredded memory foam (blue kind) pillow. I’ve had mine for three years now and it’s still has the same plush as the first day I got it, memory foam is such an incredible material, it’s like it never goes flat/ always contours PERFECTLY. I’ve heard so much about that and I will definitely check it out, your suggestion made me want to, I’ve been thinking about it previously.
