How do you get 24-bit option working on the USB 2 mode in Windows 10? AND PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO GO into "SETTINGS", I've been there and that is where it is only showing 32 bit options even if I “restore to default” it sets to 32-bit 48000hz. I have no options for 24 bit modes, only 32-bit options are showing up and it says that I have the right driver installed for a device labeled as a “SDAC-B” in my windows 10 device manager, yet there's another hardware device in there labeled as a “GRACE DESIGN DFU” and that device shows an error where it's stating that there is no compatible driver installed for this device. I have searching windows update and no drivers can be found for the grace design dfu, and it say my SDAC has the best driver available, so my DAC is technically working, but only in 32-bit mode and I want it to run in 24-bit at 48000hz and occasionally at 41000hz, so is there somewhere to download drivers or is this product going to have to be returned? because it is not PLUG AND PLAY. Let me know if there's a way to download and manually install windows 10 drivers for this or I guess I will be returning it. My Schiit DAC worked perfectly fine as a plug and play at 24-bit so it's this DAC.

So there's no way to run the DAC at 24-bit and sync the DAC to be bit-perfect with in game audio and avoid re-sampling? What happens when I'm playing music / audio that’s a 24-bit 192k track and the DAC only lets me set it to 32-bit 48000hZ by default? Is it resampling / decoding that format and outputting it at 32-bit then rather than the original format? I'd like to avoid that / have the file play in it's original format rather than being upscaled or down scaled depending on the track.

Also you're saying that if I stick with this DAC then I'm stuck with a hardware error clogging up my machines logs and (hardware) device manger that can't be permanently removed because you might one day need to create a firmware upgrade? That's not cool and honestly is a huge bummer because I really wanted to use & like this DAC, but this could be the breaking point for me personally as someone with OCD and as someone who doesn't want a constant error showing in their device manager, or logs, that’s gumming up the works in my machine.

Can I connect this to a 2019 Macbook Pro which only has usb-c and somehow connect the output from the dac to a Sonos speaker? That's my main use case, and what else would I need to do this?

I'm planning to buy this Drop + Grace Design Standard DAC Balanced and the Drop + THX AAA™ 789 Linear Amplifier. Is there a way I can connect my JBL 305 MKII to the Amp or will it be a bad setup?

Technically you can do a RCA to 1/4" TRS cable, but while the amp will pass the signal, you can't use it to control the volume (if that's what you want). Further, it'd simply make more sense to run directly from the DAC to the speakers, via a 1/8" to 1/4" cable (again, no volume control). I suppose you could also run a splitter for the XLR cable connections, but I'd probably not recommend that. Save the XLR for the 789, it's the main reason you should be the amp.

Just received mine. It is plugged to my M1 macbook air using USB but weirdly my amazon music HD either tells me that the maximum quality is 24bit/96kHz using USB2. Anyone can help me with this ?

Weirdest thing is that when set to USB2 Amazon Music HD tells me that the max is 24 bits / 44.1 kHz and when it is set to USB 1, it tells me 24 bits / 96 kHz. I don't have any clue about what to do. I tried different settings and am unable to find where the problem is.
