Is anyone able to get this to output 24 bit in windows by any chance? Default it only output 32 bit only.
I figure there must be a way to do it, I might've just missed something......
If anyone has issue pairing this DAC with latest Mac (in my case Macbook M1 Pro), this adapter makes it works flawlessly up to max specs (384 kHz, USB 2 mode) - https://www.apple.com/ae/shop/product/MJ1M2ZM/A/usb-c-to-usb-adapter . Tried with UGREEN Hub but not recognized. Paired with THX 789 and Apple Music Hi Fi Res makes it joy to use. ;-)
Hey folks! - Has anyone had an issue with the Grace SDAC Balanced when paired with Tidal? I am hearing what can only be described as "Needle Pops" like I was listening on a record. I have toggled between Hi-Fi and Master quality on Tidal and have the same issues. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I recently managed to find second hand copy of this. Still waiting for seller to ship. Though I do have a few questions. Will there be any sound difference between my PC's USB 2.0 port vs USB 3.0 port? From what I read is that USB 3.0 supplies more power, but is it noticeable difference?
Also a bit surprise this unit doesn't have a dedicated power supply for a balanced dac. So it's entirely drawing power from the USB port, hence that's why I was wondering if USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 is able to supply enough power?
HydeIt's just a digital analog converter how it's powered and how much power it gets has some objective merit but subjectively the sound will be relativity unchanged to 99% of listeners. Dac and amps for the last few year have improved circuitry that they run very efficiently without any interference regardless of power source. How the dac gets it's signal say usb a or usb c or rca, coaxial, optical, and etc can change subjective sound but for most part the connection for the signal or how the power delivery is has very subtle subjective changes to the sound.
bilditup1it was probably a fluke because it was only minutes. All I know was that there was only 1 available when I was checking out and by the time I put my card in it was gone. This was all of 8 minutes after I got the email. My guess is somebody accidently listed it and quickly undid it, either that or there was only 1 left from overstock.
disapppointedcrowLike add to that. Drop if could come out with Drop exclusive DAC that's standard and balanced plus in size one linear amp I would much appreciate that.
