I'm considering these headphones and padding them to change their sound signature sounds ideal. However I do not see if it is included in the packaging as isn't mentioned in the description. Anyone can confirm if the tuning pads are included?

TheosI recently purchased these headphones and they did not include the tuning pads. Maybe this was an error on Drop's part or they recently stopped including them?

contra_realityYou should have received a info card in a plastic bag in the box (look under a flap if not immediately apparent), in there is also two sets of white filters and one set of black foams, a thinner set comes pre-installed on the headphones.

ElectronicVicesNo bag was included when I received my pair. I broke down the boxes already for recycling so if it was hidden under the flaps it would have fallen out. When did you purchase the CXs? It is possible that for earlier run the tuning kit was included and they stopped including it for later runs. The description on the drop page under included items no longer includes the tuning kit. Anyway, it's no big deal since I have replaced the ear pads with ZMF Universe pads (more for comfort, I found the stock pads slightly too shallow) and EQed the highs down slightly and the bass up slightly and have been satisfied with the end result.

contra_realityTuning kit is pretty standard on the underlying product, if they stopped including it that's not cool. I do not see it listed or mentioned anywhere in the description but IIRC that was the same when I ordered. I purchased mine around Black Friday 2019.

contra_realityI can agree with putting the ZMF Universe Lambskin on the Ether CX. Improvement in comfort and sound. I had the Yaxi pads on them for a while but the ZMF pads are even better

ClosDeLaRocheI just got mine today and can't believe how much of an improvement they've made. I'm convinced anybody who has ever complained about the low end on these headphones have never been able to get a good seal with the stock pads.
