I've had the Game One, 363d, PC37x and now the PC38X. Each have been great headsets, but the sound quality of the PC38X is the best yet. Little more punch in the bass while still having the same treble/mid range performance as the PC37X. Worthwhile upgrade is sound quality outside of gaming. Much more complete sound profile for music/videos over the others while maintaining great gaming performance. If your only gaming and have other headphones/speakers for music the PC37X may save you a little money. For all around usage the PC38X is a worthwhile upgrade.
NathanTebayHey man, i do own the pc 363d from
senheiser and i was thinking of getting the pc 38x,
so you say those are an upgrade from the 363D? U think its a big upgrade or a minor one in sound quality? Cause i was considering them. Thx!
sebgratThe 38x over the 363d is a pretty decent upgrade. The 38x has better bass but still has the open sound stage. If you mostly game is say the 38x a worthwhile upgrade. If your spend a decent amount of time listening to music/movies, get the 58x, 6xx, 4xx for that and game with the 363d.
MytQuinnCan you personally compare these to other top ends? Thinking lik ewhat level astro these amount too sound and mic performance wise? Thank you in advance!
JediMindBangDon't have any experience with Astro headsets. My understanding is they are closed back, which would mean they won't have the same large sound stage as these. Would be surprised if the positional audio is as full as the Seinheisers. Sure there are plenty of youtube reviews that could be used as comparison. The "gamer" design of the Astros is enough to turn me off them. That very subjective though.
MytQuinncant disagree with you there. I am sick of this hyper saturated market where everything is so... comperable and overall unimpressive. To the point were a $79 pair compares to a $300 pair in any way is absurd. I will pull the trigger on these though, I dig the perspective on the sound stage. The Mic with these is better as well so its the best bang for buck right now.
Thanks again
