affordableaudiophileWell, the THX is an incredibly neutral, transparent amp that measures well and nips at the heels of its TOTL Benchmark brethren (amp-wise). Not to mention, the THX units has more power (balanced). While a good unit, the Audio GD is far from neutral. It's output impedance is also 2 ohms which will not play nice with sensitive IEMs. The THX can handle my sensitive IEMs without hiss to voltage hungry Sennheiser's to current hungry planars. I also won't get into the digital filters for that unit but, as far as pure amps go that are this transparent and powerful is hard to come by and I'm glad we have solid competition.
jaydunndidditJay,
I've heard the R2R-11 through the same IEMs, Senn Hi-ohms (HD525, 58x, 650) and planars (t50rp3, HE4XX, M1060 1st and 2nd gen, Audeze LC-2s) and IMHO your response is 'dead on balls accurate'.:-)
