the knives are sharp, but it was clearly a returned item (or already opened). no wrapping, knives were all out of position in when i opened the box. -
the knife stand looks nice in pictures, but in reality the stand itself is functionally awful. the knives don't fit into it well, you can't fit all the knives in it, and it looks kind of ugly in person.

Be warned: these are huge. That might be your thing, but for me they dominate space on my plate when not in use. Other than that, function well as knives (they cut stuff).
