Grooming with Pewter

Known as the UK’s largest manufacturer of pewter giftware and goods, English Pewter Company, established in 1977, is a family owned business operation out of Sheffield, South Yorkshire in England. A malleable alloy, pewter has been used for centuries as a lightweight and beautifully polished alternative to silver plated goods. From their own line of grooming products comes the Henley Shaving Mug, a high quality and durable bowl, polished to a mirror-like finish.

Design Features

The Shaving Mug features a unique design in which the shaving soap is held in the top compartment as excess water drains into the bottom while making a lather. A rest for your shaving brush is incorporated in the design for added convenience. Lastly, the Henley Shaving Mug does not contain lead, ensuring safe, long lasting use. I received this Saturday purchased as a gift for my father, but upon inspecting it I don't really know what kind of QC (quality control) the company uses I will attach some pictures and explain what issues I see if they aren't CLEARLY visible to everyone else. https://d3jqoivu6qpygv.cloudfront.net/img_comment/H4Z62H_20150712_061955_P337J.png uneven/rough/sharp cut here, also on this one you can see on the right the rim isn't flush and welded around talked about in next picture. (*I did not draw that line it was left from manufacturing.) https://d3jqoivu6qpygv.cloudfront.net/img_comment/H4Z62H_20150712_061952_CSLG3.png weld for water opening rim isn't complete and flush. https://d3jqoivu6qpygv.cloudfront.net/img_comment/H4Z62H_20150712_061949_2R9X8.png same goes for the opposite side but it is a little better. https://d3jqoivu6qpygv.cloudfront.net/img_comment/H4Z62H_20150712_061946_NNPPB.png "made in" double stamped not clean at all. https://d3jqoivu6qpygv.cloudfront.net/img_comment/H4Z62H_20150712_061943_9PPGT.png ***not an issue just a whole picture with razor for size reference. And I am using your pictures on here as a reference all the welds look clean are all around the surfaces from what I can tell etc... please don't get me wrong here but I believe for the price of these the QC would be a little better. ***NEW EDIT*** Brush came in today and even the little spot to sit the brush is slanted so the brush just easily slides off doesn't even sit well... I NEED a reply ASAP on the QC of this because I believe this is slightly unacceptable for the price.
