Hands down, the best all round knife for the money. This knife just likes to work. Can handle battoning fire wood, feather sticks, food prep, shelter building, the list goes on and on. The full grind edge is easy to keep sharp in the field. Has some heft, but the weight is hardly noticeable since it is very well balanced and comes with a “If you break it. we replace it” warranty from Esee. It’s a popular knife, so parts and accessories are not hard to find. Can be souped up with G10 Hadle scales, kydex, or leather sheaths from the Knife Connection. You can take it apart and customize it to suit your personal taste. (Not something You can do with all knives.)
The only cons to this knife are minor: Having a 1095 carbon steel blade, rust is always a consideration. The blade coating is designed to protect, but causes really annoying (For me), added friction when slicing. When sharpening, the coating can get rubbed off and can muck up your stone Requiring extra cleaning. The back side of the blade does not have a 90 degree edge for fire starting with a fero rod. If that‘s an issue you can put one on it, but you will have to sacrifice the protective coating. In an emergency, the cutting edge works just fine for making sparks.
It is a big knife, but the shear utility of this guy is awesome. It will work hard, take a beating and quickly become your best friend out in the wild.
This knife is a beast, bomb proof, customizable (i.e. lots of 3rd party modifications available). Funny though, the modifications could cost more than the actual blade! The knife is super helpful to carry with me on my ranch and I have no doubt about it's utility in the Backcountry.
So I got my ES6PDE | Standard Edge Dark Earth Blade / Linen Micarta Handle a couple of days ago.
It's a beast as you would expect, very comfortable.
Only grief: it comes (as expected too) with a crap palstic sheath and it's pretty hard to un-sheath.
Luckily, I don't get into street/bear fights everyday :D :D :D
I ordered a new proper sheath for it, pretty expensive but worthy of a beautiful blade:

This knife along with a small utility knife is all that is needed to thrive. With a lifetime warranty, use the product as intended with the knowledge you will be covered.
Best blade in its category. Awesome for splitting kindling, trimming branches, and even felling small trees. The handle feels solid in your hands and the long blade makes camp chores and other tasks easy as pie.
